Heather & Taylor

What a fun, trendy, and unbelievably sweet couple! I just love these two!!

One of my favorite details from their wedding was the Rice Crispie cake. They ordered all of their sweet sprinkled treats from http://www.thecrispery.com/ and it turned out great! They had toyed with the idea of a donut tower, which I also loved, but this was just so fun. One of the best things about the website is all of the options… definitely worth checking out!! And I loved their people on top, too :)

Their photographer, Jake Holt, was incredible. I had seen some of his work when one of his weddings was posted in The Knot magazine so I was really excited to see what he could do for them. They were a perfect match for sure! Check out his blog to see some of their fabulous dance moves: http://www.jakeholtblog.com/2010/05/17/heather-taylor-kyle-texas-may-1st-2010/

They also ordered all of their gerbera daisies from http://www.fiftyflowers.com/... one of the best resources for buying flowers in bulk, and look how gorgeous they are!!!

Heather and Taylor really added their personal style to their wedding and everyone loved it. I had an amazing time working with you and everyone at The Winfield wishes you nothing but the very best.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Mindy & Anthony

Well let's just start with her dress... STUNNING. I think we should make it a priority to have each bride send a pic of their dress because I want to show it off, but I have no way of proving how beautiful it really was!

Since she works for one of our favorite companies (The Knot!) she had lots of fun and crafty ideas to help bring her bright day to life. Simple things like adding color coordinated ribbon and personalized spice jars make such a difference! She also used dozens of gerbera daisies to add color to her tables. This is a great flower for the spring because it doesn't take many to create the look you're going for. Props to Miss Mindy! Oops... Mrs. ;)

They had such a great time throughout the evening and we are honored and blessed to have been there for it all. You both were gorgeous and glowing all night and we cannot express how happy we are for you. So I guess all that's left to say is CONGRATS!!!

Jessica & Edgar

This couple was just so fun to work with. One thing that I really love is when the groom gets involved, because they seem to have such great ideas! Edgar was a blast with the planning and has a great eye, so one of the goals of their final meeting was to find the perfect ceremony location. We've used just about every tree on the property, but the set that they chose I don't believe had been used and it looked AWESOME!! It was just to the right of the gazebo and the trees created a beautiful canopy over all of the guests.

This spring wedding was simply gorgeous. With ivory satin crush linens, candlelight, and the chandeliers in the ballroom, it just looked so elegant. Another aspect of the big day that was very important to them was the food and all I can say is... yumm! Their guests enjoyed a cascade of fresh fruit as well as our delicious Summer Sage Sausage Balls with Fresh Red Apples while the wedding party wrapped up their photos. After entering, the enjoyed the wonderful menu below:

Slow Cooked Filet Medallions with a Rosemary Bing Cherry
Reduction Sauce
Cornbread Stuffed Peppers with Gravy

Garlicky Green Beans with Lemon Zest
Oven Roasted New Potatoes with Rosemary and Garlic

Organic Mixed Greens tossed with Strawberry Wedges, Granny Smith Slices,
Candied Walnuts, Feta Cheese & Lemon-Tarragon Citronette
Garlic Ciabatta

Of course I can't leave without acknowledging the other magnificent vendors :)

What a beautiful day and a beautiful couple. When she walked out in her dress my jaw dropped. She was absolutely stunning. John couldn’t have been happier that day. Every time I saw him he was just so excited and it was obvious he couldn’t wait to see her! I can only imagine what went through his mind when he actually did.

Leah & Matthew

One of the best things about a wedding seeing how much your friends and family want to help. Leah was so fortunate to have such a talented florist friend and such an adorable daughter to be her flower girl!!

They couldn’t have been happier... every time we looked they were just dancing and having a ball!

All of the other vendors were also their friends and the personalized touch that they put on everything will last forever!

Congratulations!!!

Lauren & Matthew

Their friends and family were simply awesome through the entire day! They wanted nothing more than to make their day perfect, and of course they did :) Since they worked so hard, letting loose that night and dancing till the very last song was a must!!

Lauren looked like Cinderella in her gorgeous princess gown. I can only imagine what was going through his mind when he saw her! With her décor, she wanted a bright, spring atmosphere, so she chose white linens and added these orange pin tuck chair ties to add a punch of color. I LOVE this!!

We are so happy for you two and forever send warm wishes your way! Congratulations!!!

Melissa & John

Planning from out of state is never easy, especially when you’ve only got about 3 months to do it… that’s why we are here!! With constant communication, open ears, and the creative juices flowing, this couple had the wedding of their dreams :) Everything was absolutely stunning!! Their photographer’s site is under construction, but please check in on it periodically because he is amazing. And from what I’ve seen and read so far, they could not be any happier with the photos! Morgan & Nathan

Beautiful wedding and incredible people… all around WONDERFUL weekend!!!

I know I always say that I can’t wait to get the pro pics, but there’s a reason! We just don’t get the opportunity to get the pics that really show off what these vendors do. Sweet Stuff and Bouquets of Austin put together some beautiful pieces, and I promise to show you as soon as I can! The flowers were beyond gorgeous. So Mr. Pat Motola… expect a phone call from me soon! :)

Like I said before, this couple and their families were just amazing. They were all so helpful, gracious, and genuine. Then when it came time to party, they were ready! They didn’t stop till the VERY last song.

After that last song rolled around, Morgan and Nathan jetted off to The Driskill for the night while the parents stayed the night at The Winfield.

It was a weekend that we were looking forward to for a very long time and we are happy to say that it was a success! Morgan, you were beautiful as always and we wish you both the very best! CONGRATS!!!!

Vendors for the evening were:

Greenbelt DJ's

The Sweet Stuff

Clean Air Limosines

The Salt Lick BBQ

Bouquets of Austin

Katie & Kevin

There are no words. At least not in my vocabulary... but their photographer, Katherin O'Brien, managed to say it all perfectly. So I posted a link to Katherin's blog at the bottom, where you can find all of the AMAZING photos from this day.

First of all, the bride made EVERYTHING herself. Tissue balls, cupcake sleeves, labels, invites, map cards, cans for candles, felt doves... you name it, she did it. And the sweetest part about it is that her sweet hubby was there to help her with everything! The amount of work that they put into their day is just incredible. Then her family and friends insisted on helping us with set up. We usually try to take care of everything for our couples so that everyone else can just relax and worry about getting ready, but they were right out there with us- it was so nice of them!!!

So, I'm going to stop rambling and let Katherin's pics tell the rest of the story: http://katherineophoto.blogspot.com/2010/04/katie-kevin-at-winfield-inn.html, http://katherineophoto.blogspot.com/

Other vendors that contributed to making the day so fabulous are listed below.

Congratulations Katie & Kevin!!!

Kristen & Ashton

When I walked upstairs and saw Kristen she literally took my breath away. She was absolutely stunning. And the two of them together are just adorable!

All 330 guests witnessed them make this commitment before having to leave for the Air Force. But it can’t be too bad… at least they’re going to Vegas! After the ceremony they had a cake and punch reception, which had both been brought by two of their closest family members. They did such a great job and were SO sweet! Everyone was just happy to be there!

The bouquets, boutonnieres, and alter arrangements were created by Last Petal. I LOVED them! They looked fresh, whimsical, and just awesome.

The afternoon was just what they had imagined and we are honored to have been a part of it. We wish you all the best!!!

Brooke & Heath

They were so stinkin’ cute this weekend! Even though it was the last cold day (we think) of the season, they just kept smiling and went with it. Friends and family brought blankets and throws and cuddled up during the ceremony... but with a few heaters, drop sides, and LOTS of dancing, they seemed to be fine : )

Some of the extra fun details were in their escort cards, favors, and menu!

Passed Apps: Shrimp Corndogs with Mustard Dill
Pear & Onion Pizzettes
Main Course: Slow Cooked Filet Medallions with a
Rosemary Bing CherryReduction Sauce
Seared Mahi with Hazelnut Vinaigrette
Creamy Potatoes Au Gratin with a Splash of Curry
Oven Roasted Asparagus with Sea Salt
Mixed Organic Greens tossed with Candied Walnuts, Blueberries,
Strawberry Wedges, Feta & Champagne Vinaigrette

Michelle’s Patisserie brought one of the best cakes… I mean, can you go wrong with a Bailey’s Chocolate filling?

And last but not least, they looked as FABULOUS as we expected! Congratulations to you all and best wishes!!!

Leslie & Eric

They are the sweetest couple with the sweetest family! While we were complimenting and congratulating them on their special night, they wouldn't stop thanking us… totally not necessary but greatly appreciated! Unfortunately I don’t have pictures from the day, but I’ll definitely be in touch with the photographer soon, so you’ll just have to believe me when I say that it was a beautiful, spring wedding!

Now I have to brag on their menu a little because it was SO fun! They just wanted a wide variety of fun appetizers, so that’s what we did!
Carnitas &Verde Sauce in Mini Tortilla Wraps
Coconut Shrimp with Mango Sauce
Pork Tenderloin with Parmagiano Reggiano and Granny Smith Apple Chutney
Tropical Beef Kbobs with Seasonal Veggies
Kung Pao Chicken Kabobs
Veggie Kabobs with New Potatoes, Carrots and Mushrooms
Oven Grilled Asparagus with Sea Salt
Wild Rice Pilaf with Dried Cranberries and Pecans
Pigs in a Blanket

After dinner they sliced into their gorgeous, classic white cake with elegant details – courtesy of Pennington Cakes in San Marcos (yumm!).

By the end of the night they became one big happy family J We wish you all nothing but the absolute best and hope you’ll keep in touch.

CONGRATS!!!

Jennifer & Matt

After 10 years, Jennifer and Matt had the spring wedding of their dreams! Bright colors, butterflies, and perfect weather made for a wonderful day!
Jennifer wore a vintage lace gown with curls in her hair, and the men cleaned up pretty well, all in classic black tuxedos.

After they cut their cakes, provided by The Sweet Stuff, they danced allll night long! RJ, with Music 4 Life DJ’s did an outstanding job (as always) of keeping everyone on their feet and have a great time!
We absolutely loved getting to know you both throughout the last eight months and watching everything come together!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!
