Love Letters

We hope you all had a joyful holiday season and 2013 is treating you well! We are so excited about the new year and cannot wait to share each weekend with our amazing couples.

We have received some amazing reviews, so we would like to send a huge THANK YOU for all the love. These words mean the world to us!
"We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Winfield Inn in May 2012. We had such a great experience with Winfield in every possible way. April, Robyn, and the team were wonderful to work with. We were planning our wedding from NYC, so we really relied on their help. They were extremely responsive to all of our requests -- they never went more than a day before calling or emailing us back, and they went above and beyond with our requests. We contacted them perhaps an excessive number of times with questions, and they never made us feel like we were imposing and were always so willing to be helpful. For example, we had a band we were interested in from Dallas that we didn't know much about, and the Winfield team called the band for us, sought out references, and helped us get the information we needed to make a decision (and the band turned out to be amazing!). They even helped us pick out locations for our rehearsal dinner and for brunch with our guests. They also provided a lot of recommendations for vendors that they had worked with previously, and we used several of those vendors, all of whom turned out to be wonderful. They really made our wedding as stress-free as possible. The day of the wedding, they really took charge, worked with all of our vendors directly to get things set up, and made sure things were running smoothly throughout the day/night -- it made the experience so easy for us. The food was also amazing and definitely not your standard wedding fare. The whole atmosphere of the venue is really so special too. The house and grounds are gorgeous, and when the sun goes down they have really beautiful lighting that makes everything look truly stunning. We can't recommend the Winfield Inn highly enough!"

More Love for Winfield Coordinating!

Tonight April and one of our awesome interns, Ciara, coordinated an event at our beautiful neighbor venue, Texas Old Town. We now offer these services off site and are so excited about it. Catering, rentals, coordinating... you name it, we got it! Our goal with each event, no matter what we might be providing you with, is to make it a little less stressful, a lot more enjoyable, and to help bring your vision to life!


By catering this couple's rehearsal dinner and coordinating her wedding, we were able to bring some extra joy to her wedding weekend. After leaving the venue, April received this text from the bride:


Thank you soooo much for everything you and your team has done!!! Words can not explain how stress free and awesome our day went we could not ask for a better team we love you all and you guys truly made our day a once in a lifetime experience!!!!

Letters of Love

I think I have bombarded Jacki with enough thank yous for her to know how much I appreciate her work at our wedding on March 17, but I wanted to contact directly and tell you exactly what a dream the entire experience with your staff has been this past year.

I remember our first conversation -- I believe all your girls were out so you called me yourself -- and from the very beginning I was impressed with the customer service. You sent me an estimate within a day and had an answer for every question. Most people can't believe I booked my venue sight unseen, but I had a great feeling about you all from the beginning, and I'm so glad I followed my instincts.

I never had an email or phone call go unanswered longer than 24 hours (usually it was within an hour or two). I never received a response that was anything less than extremely helpful and cheerful. You may have three of the nicest people I've ever met working for you. Whatever you have done to create such a positive and customer-oriented culture is truly amazing; I don't think I've ever experienced service that comes anywhere close to what I received at the Winfield.

As the day approached and the weather report looked foreboding, Robyn and Jacki both did everything to reassure me. When I asked whether we could try and make the ceremony work by the gazebo even if there was light rain, Robyn's exact words were "If you want to get married by the Dumpster, we'll do it for you. It's your day." That mindset was obvious in every conversation I had with your staff.

Which brings us to the wedding day. I can honestly say it was one of the most fun and memorable days of my life. Everything was perfectly in order and I didn't have a care in the world. Jacki and the interns were there when we needed them and out of the way when we didn't. I was able to have a great time getting ready with my friends and not have to worry about how everything was getting set up. The ceremony and reception went off without a hitch, and my experience in event planning assures me that was only the result of extremely diligent work on the part of your staff. Though we had dinner in the house, I heard from my guests that the wait staff were great as well; never too far away, but not hovering.

As if that all wasn't enough, Jacki may have told you she received a worried call from me the Sunday after our wedding. I had asked my mom to be sure to get Joe's boutonniere when she picked up all of our things--we had decided we would plant it along with the succulents from my bouquet--but she missed the message. Joe's face fell when he heard that it had been left behind, and I immediately called Jacki. I have no idea what she had to do to get it back--at this point I honestly believe she would have dug through the trash for us--but she found it and I was able to have my matron of honor pick it up later that day. That extra effort on her part just topped off a year where I felt like I had no request too ridiculous or small to be taken seriously. I have several friends getting married in the next year and I can only hope the staff at their venues are as attentive, professional, hardworking and kind as mine were. You have a fantastic operation going on there and I wish you all the best. If there are any Web sites you prefer to have customers post reviews, please let me know; I'd be happy to share my experience.

Day Dreaming...

Today couldn't be more beautiful! Here's a quick pic from our office view:

So many other things have been happening at The Winfield... have you seen our new website, or our app?! They're both pretty awesome, if I do say so myself ;) Don't forget to jump on the social media band wagon and Like us on Facebook, then Follow us on Twitter! But wait.. don't forget about Bark for a Cause!

Bark for a Cause is officially in the works and will be taking place on May 16th from 6-9pm, here at The Winfield Inn. TWI will be catering with our signature BBQ menu, other desserts will be provided by Sugar Mama's Bakeshop, The Sweet Stuff, and Central Market. What else is going on? Oh, well how about some lawn games, a lemonade bar from The Lemonade Co., fabulous rentals from Premiere Party Central, silent auctions, live music, pet adoptions, and awesome organization and planning from The Simplifiers!

We can't wait to see this grand plan come to life and raise so much awareness and funds for the Austin Humane Society. This organization is near and dear to all of our hearts!

Although we chose to have a destination wedding, Winfield Inn was our #1 choice in Austin! I can tell you I did my due diligence and researched every venue, and corresponded with every venues representatives in the greater Austin area. Winfield Inn is not only a beautiful lovely venue but the staff was so sweet, warm, inviting, SUPER responsive, and accommodating. I cannot say enough kind words about planner April who was our conusultant. She was amazing! What a breath of fresh air it was to tour Winfield Inn and talk with April about our wedding after touring all the other venues and dealing with their lackluster correspondence/enthusiasm...Winfield blew everyone out of the water!!! In addition, we thought Winfield was a fabulous bargain with their all-inclusive services! Cheers Winfield Inn, we will definitely sing your praises to anyone who will listen! Ashley and Nicholas

Exciting News!!!

Thanks to our AMAZING couples, The Winfield Inn was chosen as “The Knot Best of 2012” as well as "Wedding Wire Bride's Choice Awards Winner 2012"!!! We cannot say thank you enough for all of your kind and honest words. We love each and every one of you and have enjoyed having you as a part of our giant family :)

Three couples were also featured on Style Me Pretty and one on  TheWedding Yentas! The brides take the time to write a story of what inspired their creative and unique details. Please enjoy these brides and all that went into their BIG day!
