History

We have heard many people asking questions about the history of the house and would love to share this information with you!

The House was built in 1883 and first owned by, the Parke’s, and then later the Price’s. Jodi and Tom discovered the property on a bike ride a little over 7 years ago. Their objective was to bridge the cozy Bed & Breakfast feel with the wedding experience. After experiencing their own wedding and having so many people travel from out of town, Jodi felt the primary personal success to a wedding was the multiple opportunities for the family and friends to mingle throughout the weekend.

One of the estate’s most famous aspects are the natural, organic, and colorful backdrops around the Garden Ballroom, which is illuminated with Swarovski crystal chandeliers. Tom and Jodi evaluated every aspect of the reception experience from the lighting to the acoustics to the summer breeze and even the ability to add drop sides; all in honor of an elegant and detail oriented wedding for you and your guests!

How many rooms are in the house?

We have 3 bedrooms that are spacious and with their own personal bathrooms. There is The Selma Suite, The Kendal Suite, and the Bridal Suite (this also has a ready room attached for extra space and incredible natural lighting for your wedding day preparations). The house also has 3 sitting rooms, a library/photo gallery, dining room, downstairs porch, and an enclosed, relaxing upstairs porch veranda. All of these rooms are available for accommodations.
