Question: What do we do if it rains?
Answer: There is a Plan B for everything! In case of rain on the day of your wedding, the plan is simple- we move it into the Garden Ballroom. We are able to shift around the tables and chairs and create an aisle down the center of the Ballroom, with our beautiful gardens as your backdrop. After the ceremony, it only takes our staff moments to recreate the reception layout while your guests enjoy appetizers and cocktails.
Question: What if it’s cold?
Answer: Heaters and drop sides are available to rent. Even if there are last minute weather changes, our staff is able to affix the drop sides with ease and start warming up the Ballroom!
Question: What if it’s hot?
Answer: The grounds are mostly shaded with little direct sunlight, as well the Ballroom is positioned so that the Southeastern breeze wisps through; therefore, we tend to be about 8-10 degrees cooler in the summer time relative to the forecasted temperature for that day. And of course if it is just too hot, Water Cooling fans can be rented to bring down the temperature. The Winfield is very fortunate in that we are able to host weddings throughout the entire late Summer season due to all the wonderful cooling variables the property provides for a successful outdoor wedding!
